By creating an account or using the 1 of 1 mobile application ("the app," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
The service
1 of 1 is a free mobile app for entertainment purposes. Each week during the NFL season, you pick one player. Your pick is scored against other players at the same position (pound-for-pound), and you can see how you rank against other users on the Board and Season leaderboard.
1 of 1 is not a gambling or wagering service. No money is exchanged, no prizes are awarded, and no real-world value is offered. It is a game of skill for fun.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
You must provide accurate information when you sign up (email, handle).
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Your chosen handle is publicly visible to other users. Don't pick something offensive, impersonating, or in violation of any third party's rights.
We reserve the right to remove handles that violate these terms, and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate them repeatedly or egregiously.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
Use the app to harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
Interfere with the service (e.g., automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, exploiting bugs to manipulate scores).
Reverse engineer the app for the purpose of creating a competing service.
Use the app for any illegal purpose.
Content and intellectual property
All app content, code, design, and branding are owned by us or our licensors.
NFL player statistics and schedule data are sourced from third-party providers (Sleeper, ESPN) under their respective terms.
Your handle and picks belong to you. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to display them to other users as part of the game.
Termination
You can terminate at any time by tapping "Delete Account" in the Me tab. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, subject to our Privacy Policy.
We can terminate or suspend your account if you materially violate these Terms, without notice. We'll make a reasonable effort to notify you when we do.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, about its accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Player statistics, rankings, and scores are computed from third-party data feeds. We are not responsible for errors, delays, or missing data from those feeds.
The app is not a substitute for official NFL scoring or fantasy football platforms with real prizes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $100 USD.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
